T20 World Cup to be held in New Zealand" 2020

"T20 World Cup to be held in New Zealand"
Sydney: Former Australian cricketer Dan Jones has suggested holding the T20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has said that the T20 World Cup could be held in New Zealand instead of Australia because the government there has controlled the corona virus to a great extent.

He said that no new cases of corona have been reported in New Zealand in the last 12 days and at present New Zealand is the only country where the World Cup can be held.

Dean Jones ruled out the possibility of a T20 World Cup in Australia this year, saying the World Cup would not be held in Australia for a number of reasons.

It should be noted that the T20 World Cup is scheduled in Australia from October 18 to November 15. It is likely that the ICC will announce on June 10 whether to hold or postpone the tournament.

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said she could lift all restrictions on social distance in New Zealand next week and that the country's sealed borders would be opened.
