Sony Xperia Ace launched with 5-inch FHD+ display and Android Pie

The Sony Xperia Ace runs Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system and is fueled by 2700mAh battery with fast charging.

Sony has today launched Xperia Ace smartphone in Japan. The Sony Xperia Ace is priced at 48,600 JPY (approx. Rs 31,190) and will go on sale through Japanese operator NTT Docomo starting June 1st. The phone comes in Purple, Black and White colour variants.

The Sony Xperia Ace features a 5-inch Full HD+ LCD Trilluminous Display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm processor with Adreno 508 GPU.


The phone has 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and expandable memory up to 512GB via microSD card. It runs Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system and is fueled by 2700mAh battery with fast charging.

For the camera department, the Xperia Ace is equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, optical and electronic hybrid image stabilisation. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, with field-of-view up to 120 degrees.

The smartphone has an IP68 rating for water- and dust-resistance. Connectivity options for the phone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C. The phone measures 140 x 67 x 9.3mm and it weighs 154 grams.
